Wah Kaba

The Wah Kaba falls is located near the city of Cherrapunjee(Sohra), 48 kilometres from Shillong it is located on a roadside and is easily accessible. The falls drop from a steep rocky side into a gorge below. A nearby viewpoint gives you a perfect Instagram worthy view of this nature’s wonder. The best time to visit these falls is during peak monsoons.

One cannot miss chasing waterfalls when you are in Adobe of clouds. One of the first significant waterfall of Cherrapunji is Wah Kaba falls with an interesting legend associated with it which goes like- There lived two fairies- one fair and one dark in Wah Kaba region. They would mingle with the regular folks and lure men to visit them by hypnotizing them. The young men would disappear for months together and return back only later as if they were never gone. They say that the men used to get married to the fairies. Tyrshi Falls

59 kilometres from Shillong & 5 kilometres from Jowai, A walk through a pretty arch bridge set amidst green paddy fields is a beautiful small trek which will connect you with nature and surroundings. To get to the base of the waterfalls you will have to complete a short hike through a series of small steps and from the base you will get a panoramic view of these majestic falls.

Kynrem Falls

70 kilometres from Shillong and 12 kilometres from Cherrapunji (Sohra) in East Khasi Hills district. The Kynrem Falls pass through a motorable road that goes all the way to Bangladesh! It is the 7th highest waterfalls in India. The Kynrem Falls is a three-tiered waterfall, with water falling from a height of 305 metres.

Krang Suri Falls

90 kilometres from Shillong. Amidst the serene Jaintia hills, Krang Suri falls is amongst one of the most scenic waterfalls of Meghalaya. The falls is blessed with shimmering blue waters and lush green picturesque surrounding. The falls are not at all high and you can take a dip in the large blue water pool it creates underneath.
